About

Painting the social landscape and mapping emotions.
Using paint, pixels and hutzpah!

My style and approach to a subject  varies depending on the story I wish to depict and  how  I hope to engage the viewer. Through the collection “Obliterated Youth” I want to convey the horror of the “county lines” phenomenon. “County Lines” is a term used to describe the  transportation of drugs from one area to another, usually by children or vulnerable people who are coerced into it by gangs. The 'County Line' is the mobile phone line used to take the orders of drugs. The style and selection of materials are employed with the intention of overwhelming the viewer.

Lost & Found is a series about archetypes and the duality of truth. Each image is intended to be a light hearted take on familiar truth.

In the collection “Joy” I want to celebrate a moment and create a space in which the viewer can bring meaning, not bound by anything literal, I want to use abstraction to produce a calming, unifying effect.

Originally from Yorkshire, I now live in London. I love the town and love the country, my landscape paintings, both urban and rural are about celebrating and recording times and places and trying to convey a sense of the “weight” or “light” of a place.
