ARTIST INFO

About

Kirsty Lackie (b.1989) is a Glasgow based artist. She completed her BA (Hons) in Communication Design at The Glasgow School of Art in 2018, and since graduating has been developing her painting practice. Lackie has exhibited across the U.K. most recently as part of the group show ‘Bright Young Things’ in Notting Hill. Her work is a bag of surrealist storytelling, absurdity, and often comes with a stink of female experience, where undertones of irony and tragi-comedy flicker beneath a seemingly frivolous surface.

This particular series also draws upon themes of nostalgia and adolescence.
