About
I have lived in The Scottish Borders for the last 30 years. The subject matter for my paintings includes landscapes, seascapes, and paintings of figures and are inspired by the surrounding countryiside, stories and imaginative interpretations of everyday life. The landscapes and seascapes are expressive in style with an emphasis on colour, texture and atmosphere while the paintings of figures are more defined but have a dreamy quality to them. All of my paintings are in oil.

Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork
The paintings are all oil on board with a collaged base layer which produces a textured effect. The landscape is inspired by the fields and hills around where I live in the Scottish countryside while the figures are images from my imagination.
