About
Born in Poland, lives and works in London, United Kingdom
Hesi Glowacki’s work focuses on themes that encompass memory and trauma, as well as queer mythologies.
Through the play between abstraction and figuration, he explores the connections between the body and nature, the internal and the external, the sacred and the mundane, and materialization and transcendence. Spanning influences from alchemy and religion, personal experience, and popular culture, Glowacki sets the cycles of destruction and repair.
Through the unique use of language, materials, and techniques, he asks questions about the body and its experience, and about the nature of things and their transformation.
