Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork
The paddle boarder paintings were made from early morning sketches in La Caleta, a small village on Tenerife's west coast, away from the very touristic areas to the southeast. The small bay is popular with local surfers, paddle boarders, fishermen and swimmers, so it's a hive of activity in the early mornings. The paintings aim to get a sense of a beginning, where the day is about to unfold - about being alive and facing challenges head-on, being at one with nature.
