Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork
With a painterly touch which is tender yet slippery, my subject matter continues to be reminiscent of the golden age of cinema: Hollywood and Alfred Hitchcock. The postcards show women and motherhood as depicted in films (directed by men)- female discomfort - captured moments depicted like ghost stories, but also with the weight of psychosis palpably present.
