Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork
The painting is inspired by the Rococo painter Jean Baptiste Oudry and his depictions of wildlife in pastoral settings. The painting shows a glimpse of a fantastical ferine Garden of Eden that has been overrun with wild animals in surreal and mischievous adventures, with mystified exotic birds encountering confused strange fish, set amongst a warm pastoral glow.
