About

Adrian Narvaez Caicedo (@adrian_caicedo_) was born in Columbia and now lives and works in Bourges, France.

Adrian’s paintings open a territory that sways between fiction and the simulation of dreams, but likewise it beckons us to recognize it as a fragment of reality that has been recoded through the tradition of painting. In his work, however, there is no central subject. Each painting unfolds with its own rules, its own stratagems. The painting becomes a space of emergence where the characters give themselves to guess: between unstable assemblies and vegetal exuberance, the game, the disguise, the camouflage, build a suspicious environment.
