Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork

The two landscapes submitted for Art on A Postcard, Sweet Sorrow (Lakeside) and Reflection, relate strongly to a series of large oil paintings produced for my solo show at The New Art Gallery Walsall (July 2023 to Jan 2024). Each image depicts a place of solace, familiar yet anonymous locations that represent the need to breathe and take the time to experience the moment.
