Lot 176 - Chris Daniels - Machbands (Chroma) IV
Acrylic on paper
Signed on Verso
This auction is raising proceeds for St Wilfrid's Hospice Eastbourne
Chris Daniels makes abstract paintings primarily concerned with form and colour. Masking tape is used to control the edges of the geometric forms placed over a flatly painted background. Using an intuitive and non-scientific approach to colour combinations, Chris works these through a series of paintings utilising the same formal compositions to create a contrasting visual experience for the viewer.
