ARTIST INFO

About 

Christopher James is a painter, he studied art in Hull and he has a Scottie dog called Carlos Tevez. Chris and Carlos enjoy walking along the south coast looking for birds.  

Chris is a member of the Rye Society of Artists and has exhibited his work at The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition; The Towner Gallery Eastbourne; Society of Botanical Artists, Mall Galleries, London; Royal West of England Academy Bristol; Orleans House London; Aberdeen Art Gallery; Arts Club Mayfair, London; Rye Society of Artists Rye; Rye Bank Gallery Rye; Paisley Art Institute Annual Exhibition, Scotland; Hastings Arts Forum Hastings.

Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork 

I saw this little wren springing in and out of the bushes in my garden. The wren is a very small bird, with a loud song. I have painted it life size, which I felt was appropriate for a small, postcard painting.
