ARTIST INFO

About 

Charlie Haydn Taylor (b.1996) was born in Jersey, Channel Islands and is now based in London. 

Since 2020, Haydn Taylor has exhibited extensively in the UK and has formed a strong reputation in Asia, with upcoming shows in Seoul and Beijing. He is also considered a leading name in contemporary art on the island of Jersey, Channel Islands, where he was born. In 2025, Haydn Taylor’s first public artwork will be installed in Jersey’s capital, St.Helier. His work also resides in large private collections alongside pieces by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol and Keith Haring.

Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork   

This work was created in response to the Ukraine war. I wanted to create something that could emulate the perspective of a child from inside their home, looking out onto the extremities of the war around them. Army toys are included as a mirror to what is happening outside of the room.
