Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork

My work is inspired by society and culture within the place I am living. Having recently moved to Austin, Texas, I have become increasingly interested in Western culture and traditions. I use a muted pallet to convey a sense of time and nostalgia in a dreamlike world. The paintings become strange fictions that blur the boundary between documentary and fantasy.
