About
Janie is an artist living in Brighton. She grew up in the Northeast of England among the rugged coastlines near Whitby and the beautiful countryside of the North York Moors.
Essentially a painter of still-life in oil or gouache, Janie paints directly from life, in oil or gouache, with still life being a favourite theme. She is endlessly fascinated by arrangements of simple, everyday humble and beautiful objects.

Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork
I picked 4 everyday things that I use and painted them from life. I chose small objects which I think are iconic in their design that would fit well on a postcard.

THIS AUCTION HAS BEEN ORGANISED FOR CHARITY AND ALL ARTWORKS HAVE BEEN GENEROUSLY DONATED BY THE ARTISTS TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE HEPATITIS C TRUST. WHEN THE WORK PRODUCED FOR THE CHARITY IS SOLD ON THE SECONDARY MARKET IT DAMAGES OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE ARTIST AND PREVENTS US FROM FUNDRAISING.
