Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork
These three small watercolours are of a Stag on Rinn Roe Beach North Mayo.
I have over the years drawn and painted this Stag many times. It sits defiant at the beach edge and drawing or painting it is a way of somehow situating myself in relation to this marvellous rock. These watercolour sketches are often used later in my studio, to jog my memory, while working on larger pieces of the same subject.
