About
Dana Finch is a contemporary landscape painter, influenced by travels in hot places, especially Spain, and numerous visits to the spectacular Moorish gardens there. Fountains are a recurring theme, as are desert and tropical plant shapes. She lives and works in Cornwall and also takes inspiration from the wild landscape there. She works predominantly in oil on canvas, but watercolour and works on paper are her first love.

Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork
1 & 2 Eden and Paradise, both examine my relationship to water, to fountains, and the idea of the garden as a place of perfection, or sanctuary.
3 & 4 Forest Floor and Canyon are two small watercolours based on sketches from my recent residency at JOYA in southern Spain (July 2024).
