About
Prachi Gothi is a London based painter attempting to discover her authentic self through painting by questioning her boundaries in art and life to have a more earnest approach to her visceral and emotive works.
Taking inspiration from her personal life, memories, experiences, and a fantasy world that she often uses as an escape from reality, Gothi attempts to blur the line between the known and the unknown in her new body of works.
Born and raised in Mumbai, Gothi completed her MA Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art & Design, London in 2010.
She won The Other Art Fair’s ‘New Futures Prize’ presented by Saatchi Art in 2021. Gothi’s work has featured in various exhibitions and is in collections across India, UK, Europe, USA and Australia.
