About the postcard artworks:
Each of these portraits is drawn from a detail of one of Artemisia Gentileschi's paintings from the 1600's. Though not dissimilar in mien and appearance, they reflect radically different characters and situations--a survivor, an ecstatic, and two portraits of murderous avengers.
