The work that I make is engaged with ideas around social and political structures, referencing biographical, found and art historical motifs. I am interested in looking at ideas around private versus public space and the shape and function of ‘The Commons’. I work mainly in paint but sometimes include other mediums such as video, installation and photography in my practice. Repetition plays an important formal part of my practice, expressly how repetition of subject or motif can slowly evolve and organically lead to something else.
