ARTIST INFO
Over the past thirty years, Charles Williams’ paintings been shown in galleries the UK, Europe and the US. Until recently he was Programme Director  of Fine Art at Canterbury Christ Church University, after beginning teaching in HE in 2008, and he is currently a Faculty Scholar at CCCU, studying for a PhD using auto ethnographic methodologies to examine his own studio practice. His current work is about the creative process and making images. Using one centimetre high railway modelling figures as models, he depicts events that contain ideas about scale, emotion, narrative meaning and mimesis that contradict and disrupt each other, problematising truth and authenticity and foregrounding the material.
