About the postcard artwork
Winifred Nicholson described flowers as ‘the secret of the cosmos’, and I can understand this desire to connect with their magical, mysterious and timeless presence. I wanted to portray two spring stalwarts - snowdrops and apple blossom - just as we are waiting for all the new growth of spring. My small portraits are likewise an attempt to capture fleeting moments in the lives of my daughters as they grow into young women.
