ARTIST INFO

Education 

Karen Keogh studied art at Roehampton Institute, then Printmaking at Morley College in London and the London College of Printing. She is a painter and a printmaker, best known for her three plate colour etchings and painterly monotypes. The depth and variety of colours and texture achievable through the three-plate etching technique are an endless source of inspiration. Her local environment forms the basis of her subject matter - both cityscapes and landscapes.

Member of the Royal Society of Printmakers (RE). Regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition. Including 2023. Work held in the following collections - University of Aberystwyth; The Fitzwilliam Museum, Oxford; The Parliamentary Collection, London; The British Museum, London.

Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork 

My images are landscape based. Colour is my passion. I make 3 plate etchings which is a challenging process, but creates a varied colour palette with a painterly feel.
