ARTIST INFO

About

Kyvèli Zoi Stenou (b.1993, Athens) is a painter and multidisciplinary artist currently living and working in Athens, Greece. She completed her BFA at the School of Visual Arts New York City (USA, 2016), after attending classes at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts (Paris, 2014) and Central St. Martin’s College of Art and Design (London, 2011-12). Her work is about creating oneiric situations inspired by constant observation of the surrounding environment. She structures her visual language by continuously researching and experimenting on the relationship of the spectator and the spectacle. Fueled by her half Athenian, half New Yorker heritage, her work plays with the themes of anthropological history, fate, spirituality and societal unity.
