Most of Joanna's work is on canvas though her mediums are becoming increasingly diverse as she experiments with mixed media. Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork

My AOAP paintings are typical of my landscape style of practice and are inspired by my local surroundings, particularly the Ashdown Forest. As in most of my work I have used soft, natural greens to describe the mellow, atmospheric feel of the British landscape, adding vibrant hints of yellow to indicate light and seasonal colour. Although small in scale, I have committed to keeping the paintings fresh by using loose brushstrokes as well as cloths to push the paint around as in my larger works.
