About
Han is a self-taught portrait artist living and working in London. She worked as a fashion designer before she started painting professionally in 2019.

Most recently, her work has been exhibited in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2022, and the Society of Women Artists’ 161st Annual Open Exhibition.
Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork
Selfie I & II are from a series I am working on. I use strangers’ selfies as my subject. Painting faces without knowing them gives me the freedom to interpret their characters, and create new narratives which combine my personal experience with their self-presentation. I hope to explore the role of portraiture as a means of communication.
