Statement about AOAP Submitted Artworks
The ‘scribble person’ appeared in my work last year, partly inspired by looking at Jean Dubuffet’s paintings, it's a self-portrait of sorts. I am planning to make some larger paintings, to explore the scribble person motif in different scenarios. Making these postcard size works for Art on a Postcard was a great opportunity to create studies for the large works.
