ARTIST INFO

About 

Following graduate and postgraduate studies in Fine Art, British artist Sonia Martin completed a Master's Degree in printmaking at Camberwell College of Art, London. Her work has been exhibited widely in solo and group shows including London Art Biennale; Royal Academy Summer Exhibition; New Hall College, Cambridge; the Barbican; Lynn Painter Stainers Prize Exhibition; Bankside Gallery; Contemporary Art Society; Gallery Different; Dentons Art Prize.  

Arising from her response to the past and to the present, her subjects are a merging of the here-and-now and the imagination.

Select Exhibitions/Awards 

Widely exhibited including at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, the London Art Biennale, Bankside Gallery, and the London Original Print Fair. Recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Award in 2021, a Contemporary British Painting Prize Shortlisted artist in 2022, and became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers in 2023.
