Art on a Postcard Launches Artist T-Shirts with Everpress

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new limited-edition artist t-shirts in collaboration with Everpress, with all proceeds going to support the Hepatitis C Trust. Each t-shirt in this collection features designs from renowned artists and supporters, including David Shillinglaw, Hayden Kays, Laxmi Hussain, and Sadie Frost. These t-shirts are not just a stylish addition to your wardrobe, but also a way to support an important cause. Keep reading to learn more about the artists behind the designs.

David Shillinglaw is a London-based artist who has exhibited internationally. His work moves between street and studio, from small handmade books and paintings on canvas to large scale wall murals. Shillinglaw has also applied his fine art practice to a number of other contexts, including theatre sets and album cover design. His t-shirt features the ‘Mechanics of Happiness,’ inspired by the everyday struggle to find balance and happiness.

Hayden Kays, also a London-based artist, is influenced by street and pop art. Known for his caustic wordplay, often typed out on a typewriter, Kays mixes witty, provocative text with imagery borrowed from advertising, magazines, and mass media.  His work critiques contemporary capitalism's absurdities while holding both himself and the viewer accountable. His t-shirt for Everpress features one of his popular designs.

Laxmi Hussain's work is characterized by elegant, precise lines that give her paintings and drawings a fluid, effortless quality. Inspired by the human form, Hussain renders intimate moments between mother and child, honouring the changes our bodies go through over our lifetimes. With a background in architecture, Laxmi’s current practice has shifted focus to the creative freedom offered through painting. Her design for this launch continues to explore the human body in her signature illustrative style.

Sadie Frost, an English actress, producer, and fashion designer, has been a long-time supporter of The Hepatitis C Trust, having lost her father to the disease in 2003. Her t-shirt for Everpress features a re-release of her artwork from the Trust’s 2009 campaign (ran by Art on a Postcard Director Gemma Peppé) bearing the powerful slogan "Check it before you wreck it."
