How to Participate in Art on a Postcard Auctions: A Step-by-Step Guide

Are you ready to bid on exclusive artwork and add a new piece to your collection? Our online auction process is simple and seamless. Follow these steps to ensure you have a smooth experience and boost your chances of winning your dream artwork.

Step 1: Register for the Auction

First things first—register for the auction by visiting the Current Auctions section of Our Auctions page and clicking the Explore Now button underneath the relevant auction. You’ll need an account with Indy to sign up. If you don't have one yet, don’t worry! Creating an account is quick and easy. Once registered, you'll be all set to join the bidding.

Step 2: Begin Bidding

Once the auction is live, it's time to place your bids. Instead of manually bidding for every increment, you can set your 'Maximum Bid,' and our system will do the rest. The platform will automatically bid on your behalf, incrementally, against other bidders. If someone outbids you, you’ll be notified, giving you the opportunity to raise your bid and stay in the game.

Step 3: Win Your Bid

The thrill of the auction peaks when the countdown timer reaches zero. The highest bidder at that moment wins the piece! If you are the lucky winner, you’ll receive an email notification from us confirming your success, along with instructions on how to proceed with the payment.

Step 4: Complete Your Payment

After winning your bid, complete your payment via the Indy platform. A link will be sent to your registration email. Keep an eye on your inbox so you can swiftly finalize your payment and officially claim your piece.

Step 5: Pay for Insured Artwork Postage or Arrange a Collection

Once your payment for the artwork is completed, please ensure you purchase Insured Artwork Postage or arrange for a collection through our website. Insured Artwork Postage fully insures your artwork, covering up to 5 artworks.

Important Notes:

  • We cannot dispatch your artworks until we have confirmed payment for both the artwork(s) and the shipping.
  • Please do not pay for shipping until you have completed payment for the artwork(s).

Once we have confirmed your payments, we will send out your artwork and you will receive an email notification with the tracking number.

Please Note:

  • Shipping times may vary depending on the destination.
  • You, as the buyer, are responsible for any import costs. Due to Brexit, import fees may apply to most destinations outside of the UK.

Tips for Success

To improve your chances of winning, we recommend placing your maximum bids well in advance. This allows the system to bid on your behalf, even when you’re away, and increases your likelihood of staying ahead of competing bidders.
