What to Do After Winning an Art on a Postcard Auction
Congratulations on winning your lot in our auction! We are thrilled to help you bring your new artwork home. To ensure a smooth process, here’s a step-by-step guide on what to do next.
Step 1: Confirm Your Lot and Payment
Once you’ve won your lot, you should receive an email with a link to complete your payment through our auction platform, Indy.
- Follow the link in the email to finalize payment for your artwork.
- Ensure this payment is completed promptly to secure your winning bid.
Step 2: Arrange for Shipping or Collection
Your artwork can only be shipped or collected once both payment for the lot and payment for shipping (or collection) have been confirmed. Follow the appropriate instructions below:
Option 1: Pay for Shipping

1. Select Your Destination: Choose the appropriate option for your location.- Insured postage covers up to 5 artworks.
- If your winning total exceeds £2,500 (UK) or £300 (Europe, USA, Canada, or Rest of the World), a separate shipping invoice will be sent to your email.
2. Complete Your Payment: Add the postage option to your cart and proceed to checkout. Please wait to pay for shipping until you’ve completed payment for your artwork(s).
3. Receive Your Tracking Details: Once both your artwork and shipping payments are confirmed, we’ll ship your lot. You’ll receive a tracking number via email.
Note: Shipping times vary depending on your location. Import costs may apply (especially outside the UK due to Brexit).
Option 2: Book a Free Collection
Prefer to pick up your artwork in person? Schedule a collection through this link: https://artonapostcard.com/products/collect-in-person.
1. Choose a Time Slot: Click on "Book Your Time" to select an available collection time.
2. Add to Cart and Checkout: After choosing your slot, proceed to checkout to confirm your booking.
3. Confirmation Email: You’ll receive an email with your confirmed collection details.
Important Notes to Keep in Mind
- We cannot ship your artwork until payment for both the lot and shipping (or collection booking) has been completed.
- Once you’ve completed payment for both your artwork and shipping, please allow up to 14 business days for delivery within the UK and up to 30 business days for international deliveries.
