War Child Presents Sound & Vision: Running Up That Hill

This October, Sound & Vision 2025 will unite 52 of the world’s most exciting contemporary artists to interpret a lyric from Kate Bush’s iconic 1985 anthem Running Up That Hill.

Personally chosen by Kate, the lyric is: And if I only could, I'd make a deal with God.

I feel extremely honoured for my lyric to have been chosen to head a project with so much artistic talent. I’m totally blown away by the scale of the artists who have taken part, and the strength and variety of the visions they have created. I love them all.
All wars leave horrific scars; ruined lives, families ripped apart, life-changing injuries, trauma, and loss on a massive scale – but it’s the children who suffer the most in so many ways. Their past, present and future melt away into fear and uncertainty.
It is more important than ever we support War Child and their invaluable work providing immediate aid to children caught in conflict all over the world including in Ukraine, Gaza, Sudan and Syria. Projects like Sound & Vision harness the power of art and music to make a real difference to children living through war. Kate Bush

Every bid placed in this year's auction is more than a purchase; it's a collector's item and a commitment to protect children affected by war, giving them the chance of a safer future.

The online auction will open on Tuesday, 28 October at 3pm (GMT) - 11am (EST)
