This September The Massive Violins with Clean Bandit will be joining The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, for a night of Royal Academy Artists, Art, Ukuleles, a storming Ukulele Orchestra concert, Famous faces and a worthwhile contemporary cause.
The Massive Violins: seven cellos, seven voices, one unique sound. The Massive Violins are a band of seven singer-cellists performing unique, virtuoso arrangements of popular classics ranging from Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody to Eminem’s Stan to Mozart’s Queen of the Night. They offer a highly entertaining night of musical surprises, and perform regularly at festivals, weddings and corporate & private functions.
Clean Bandit are a British electronic music group formed in Cambridge in 2008. The band consists of Grace Chatto, and brothers Jack and Luke Patterson. In January 2014, they scored their first UK chart topping single with "Rather Be", a collaboration with Jess Glynne, featuring elements of both classical and dance music. In 2015, "Rather Be" won the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. Their 2016 single "Rockabye", became their second number-one hit in the UK, becoming the Christmas number one single for 2016 in its seventh consecutive week at number-one.
