To mark International Women’s Day on 8 March, The Hepatitis C Trust is holding one of its much-loved auctions of postcard-sized art, with proceeds benefitting the work the charity does in women’s prisons, where much of the population tests positive for hepatitis C. Six guest curators have put together an all-women line-up of artists, featuring Margate-based Julie Caves’ sumptuous explorations of light and colour, Juno Calypso’s bubblegum-pink bathroom self-portrait and Mercedes Lucy’s ethereal blue painting of an eagle on a ceramic tile.
