Alan Fears (b. 1974) is an emerging British artist, who was shortlisted in both 2018 and 2020 for The John Moores Painting Prize—a biennial award for the best contemporary painting. Fears was also the featured cover and portfolio artist of the 2019 summer issue of the prestigious literary and art magazine, The Paris Review. 

  

'A naive artist, a graphic artist, a pop artist... I am a slice of each. My style is simple and direct. The theme in most of my art revolves around reminding myself, and everybody else, how great and stupid humans can be and therefore how great and stupid life can be'
