Alistair Gibbs
London-based artist Alistair Gibbs explores the interplay between sounds, images and words, and our relationship to them. In an echo of his practise in music, his work frequently uses found and pre-existing cultural information and his visual and conceptual source material.
As a record producer under the name ’Nebraska’, his work has been released on labels such as Rush Hour, Mister Saturday Night and Heist, and he has performed live in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Italy and the UK.
Alistair is also recognised as a designer and creative director. In his eight-year tenure as Vice-president of Brand Design at Burberry, he gained a reputation for translating the most complex situations into simple yet rich and elegant visual narratives – something reflected in the art that he makes.
