About
Dom Sebastian's work explores the complexities of categorisation, themes of otherness and excess, and the deconstruction of advertising imagery through a queer lens. Looking at objects produced by capitalist culture, from stock photos to artificial flavouring, his work appropriates and mutates consumer goods to reflect the disappointing nature of the reality that created them. Navigating the tension between desire and revulsion, his practice intertwines physical and digital processes to create a hybrid sensory experience.
