Both drawings explore the notion of discovering something hidden or lost, whether it is behind the wall of the mouth or the depths of the ocean. These portal like dystopian images are both alluring and confronting in their deception. They offer a glimpse of humanity, yet remain incomplete and shrouded, as though veiled by a masquerade.
