About

Convinced that they can lead to unique creations, Tuan Vu embraces spontaneity and errors in his art. Inspired by artists like the Nabis group and Doig, he uses vibrant colours to provoke reflection and explores the theme of identity. Childhood memories of Vietnam, especially its landscapes and waters, are recurring motifs. He highlights the transformative power of creativity, encouraging introspection. He believes in hope during tumultuous moments.

Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork

“Through my paintings, the observers can find connections between them and that the longer they contemplate the image, the more that appears. In this way, the works not only transport viewers beyond reality, but also hold seemingly endless narrative possibilities. We are living in a difficult moment. My wish is to bring people joy and hope, a feeling, if only for a moment, of peace and expansiveness.”

Insulate Ukraine

Overview

We bring warmth, light and safety to war-impacted homes with an innovative window developed with the help of engineers from the University of Cambridge. We've installed more than 20,000 windows in cities across Ukraine. Our projects provide work to financially destitute areas empowering local communities.

Problem

During winter many Ukrainians will face freezing conditions due to their windows being shattered. Current solutions such as OSB fall short on several counts. They don't insulate well, they don't let light through, they can be difficult to install, and they shatter.

Solution

Our triple-glazed polyethylene windows provide an affordable, effective remedy, that increases resilience in communities worst affected by the invasion.

Benefits

Our windows present multifaceted benefits. For recipients, they ensure warmth, safety, and improved living conditions. Local civilians gain work which fuels regional business. Donors contribute to a solution that enhances energy efficiency, supports economic growth, and aids the most vulnerable, creating profound environmental, economic, and social impacts in Ukraine.
