About
Painting takes me to another place, my own special world inspired by the old masters and Baroque & Rococo imagery. I'm inspired by the composition, colour & flow of the works and love to put my own contemporary twist on it, painting in a very gestural, energetic way, which I would best describe as abstract figurative. I work mainly with acrylic, partly because of the speed & energy with which I paint and particularly enjoy trying to incorporate a real sense of movement – the figures, fabrics, landscape & gestures.
